Plant Portfolio Page

These are the guidelines you will need to create a plant portfolio that you will be proud to own. Remember to do your work neatly and carefully. When you sign your name to anything, you are making a statement about your character. Enjoy!

Leaves

You will need a minimum of 10 pages
identifying the structures of 10 or
more different kinds of leaves. It
is not necessary to tell the scientific
name of the plant.
Flowers

You will need to identify the parts
of a basic flower. You may draw the
structures, color, and neatly label
the parts. Be sure you tell which
are the male and which are the female
parts of the flower.

Seeds

You will need to draw and label
the parts of the monocot seed and
the dicot seed.
Photosynthesis

Be sure to include your completed photosynthesis paper.

Roots and Stems and Fruits

One page for each.
On your root page, tell about
--the kinds of roots
--the jobs of roots
--edible roots
On your stems page, tell about
--the kinds of stems
--the jobs of stems
--edible stems
On your fruits page, tell about
--the kinds of fruits
--the jobs of fruits
--edible fruits
Beginning and Ending

A good project will have a nice cover.
You may design this yourself.
Color is important.
Neatness is important.
A table of contents goes in front.
The completed crossword puzzle goes in back.
A glossary of important terms goes in back.
The glossary is optional and extra credit.
One final page should give credit to your
resources, links, books, etc.

Thank you for working quietly and well.
Work is due on time or no grade will be assigned.
